So what exactly is a sales funnel …

A sales funnel is a series of steps that are automated and provides the information and emotional connection your ideal customer needs in order to make their buying decision.

Irresistible Lead Magnet -> Landing Page -> List Building -> Email Autoresponder Series -> Relationship Building/Education -> Sales Process

Irresistible Lead Magnet

• This should be something helpful, high quality and of high value.
• Your lead magnet should deliver an immediate result (ideally in less than 30 min)
• Examples are: one page checklists, recommended tools, webinars, discovery call, ebook
• Stay focused in solving one problem and make sure that it does!
• Clearly identify in your ad for your lead magnet who it is for, how it will help them and what problem it is solving

Landing Page

• Make sure your headlines and sublines feature benefits
• Include highly visible and clear calls to action (ie Click Here to Claim Your Spot)
• Use the word free prominently if the lead magnet is free
• Use consistent branding from your ad/social post to the landing page which helps with trust and perceived authority

List Building, Email Autoresponder Series and Relationship Building

• Capture the email and name of your prospect using an email service provider
• Create a series of emails that deliver value, encourages engagement and pitches your product
• An autoresponder is a specific series of emails that are delivered in order over a specified time period
• Your email sequence should develop your relationship with your audience while increasing their interest in your product
• Use strong subject lines and make sure each email delivers either high value, a strong sales pitch or both

Sales Process

• Make a strong sales pitch, don’t be shy
• Provide social proof, testimonials or examples of success
• Create urgency with your offer
• Have a payment and sales cart/processing service setup
